IM FIT Performance Training ("IM FIT") is a performance training company based in Danville, CA. IM FIT provides private and semi-private fitness and sports performance training engineered to activate the athlete in every body. Built upon the foundational concept of Intrinsic Motivation, or taking action for the purpose and enjoyment of the action itself vs. external rewards, we believe in training hard, training smart and training right. IM FIT was founded in 2015 by Matt Johns.

IM FIT specializes in providing onsite elite personal training, small group training and youth athlete development for individual clients.
During the past 22 years, the IM FIT methodology has been used by lead trainer Matt Johns for sports performance and athlete development training programs, positively impacting more than 5,000 student-athletes, including 2,000 Varsity, 200 Collegiate and 50 Professional-level. IM FIT infuses the athlete's mentality into every aspect of its training programs and works holistically with clients to become the best athlete within them.

Being an athlete my entire life, I deeply understand the importance of fitness, training, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. During my time playing Division 1 baseball in college, I developed a strong drive and intrinsic motivation to train hard and maximize my performance to compete at the highest level. As a trainer, I bring the same dedication and focus to my clients and athletes, tailoring programs to meet their individual needs and goals.

My training philosophy focuses on injury prevention, sport-specific training, and overall fitness, including weight loss and improved quality of life. Whether working with athletes or individuals seeking a challenging yet safe workout, I am passionate about delivering results-driven programs that push boundaries and foster growth.
My expertise lies in crafting effective and engaging workouts that target specific muscle groups and movement patterns to meet my clients' goals. I am dedicated to improving athletic performance, enhancing fitness, and helping my clients live pain-free, active lives.

I am a mom, wife, third grade teacher, Functional Nutrition Coach, Macros Coach, Level 1 Nutrition Coach, lifelong learner, and forever student of how to optimize my health and my life.
I am a huge believer in self-acceptance at all stages of our life, and that we can thrive from wherever we are. I believe in being honest with ourselves. I believe in educating ourselves. I believe we can change. I believe in eating real food and moving our bodies. I believe we all have different needs. I believe in listening to our bodies. I believe our needs can change. I also believe that many of us don't even know how good we can actually feel.
I also know that nothing changes without getting slightly
(sometimes really) uncomfortable.
There is a difference between living and thriving, and I want to help us see that. Everything I say or suggest here, I am saying to myself as well. There is no "there", we are all a constant work in progress, ever changing. I believe paying attention to our bodies and creating awareness can help us stay engaged in the process of optimizing how we feel each day and throughout our lives.

Nutrition is the foundation to creating health and balance and feeling alive inside your own body. It is also just the beginning. I work under the foundation of Functional Nutrition because it helps address the root cause of your health imbalances, and it takes into consideration how interrelated all parts of our body and our lifestyle are. What you eat, how much you move, your sleep quality, your relationships and stress levels....all connected and all important. There is no 'one size fits all' approach to health. Each of our bodies is unique. Understanding your own individual needs is the key to creating a radical shift in your overall health and well-being.
